The HAL Studios x ASICS Gel-1130 "Birch" is a collaboration by the Australian creative agency and ASICS on a colorway of the retro running shoe. A part of the Australian retailer Highs & Lows, HAL Studios is led by Matthew Thomas and John Bouquet. The designers give the Gel-1130 a minimalist, lifestyle-focused update on the “Birch” colorway. The upper has a cream-colored open-cell mesh base with tonal suede and black leather overlays. The translucent tabs on the heels read “HAL” on the left shoe and “STUDIOS” on the right shoe. The shoe is mounted on a cream foam midsole. Release date: August 25, 2023
